Description
The vehicle gateway (GTW) detects the firmware version manifest, the list of expected firmware versions each electronic control unit (ECU) should be running, is corrupted or invalid. To prevent possible conditions affecting vehicle functionality, the GTW automatically classifies every ECU as having a firmware version mismatch and separate alerts should be present to indicate that condition.
Potential Impact
Vehicle is unable to drive, charge, or support the low voltage (LV) battery / electrical system until the GTW detects the firmware version manifest as valid to make sure no essential vehicle functionality is limited or unavailable due to firmware.
Set Condition
The checksum of the firmware version manifest stored in the GTW is invalid and does not match the expected parameters, indicating the data is corrupt or invalid.
Clear Condition
Clears after a successful vehicle firmware update that results in no mismatches (checksum errors) between the expected firmware version manifest parameters and actual firmware version manifest stored in the GTW.
