Description

The High Voltage Processor (HVP) detects the shunt thermistor is present when the HVP calibration block has shunt Temperature Coefficients of Resistance (TCRs) for a shunt without a thermistor.

Potential Impact

The High Voltage Controller (HVC) will measure the pack current less accurately affecting algorithms such as pack energy estimation. No immediate vehicle functional impact.

Set Condition

A shunt thermistor is detected when the shunt TCRs in the HVP calibration block indicate a shunt thermistor should not be present.

Clear Condition

The shunt TCRs programmed into the HVP calibration block indicate the shunt should have a thermistor.
