Description
Integrated Dynamic Brake (IDB) Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) hardware has experienced an issue.
Potential Impact
The IDB enters fallback mode and relinquishes controlling status to the Redundant Control Unit (RCU). The RCU may assume controlling status and perform backup brake boost, but Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), Brake Traction Control (BTC), Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC), Panic Brake Assist (PBA), Hydraulic Fade Compensation (HFC), Controlled Deceleration via Parking brake (CDP), Brake Disc Wipe (BDW), External Brake Request (EBR), and Secondary Collision Mitigation (SCM) may be unavailable. Increased braking effort may be necessary to achieve desired deceleration. The vehicle should be driven with extreme caution.
Set Condition
An ASIC power, oscillator, Non-Volatile Memory (NVM), or Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) issue is detected continuously for over 100 milliseconds.
Clear Condition
No ASIC issue is detected at the start of the next power cycle. If the condition persists, the IDB module may require replacement.
