Tesla Unveils Robotaxi Website Outlining How the Service Will Operate
Following sightings of the Cybercab and unsupervised robotaxis in Austin, coupled with newly introduced cleaning policies, Tesla is intensifying its push to bring the service into the mainstream. Now, with the launch of an update...

Tesla has launched an updated Robotaxi website that includes a Get Started guide and a support section, suggesting the program is maturing. The new pages outline how the service will operate for Austin riders, including operating hours and what to expect during the in-car experience.
Although the site does not reference the Bay Area explicitly, Tesla’s supervised Robotaxi operations continue to run there. Tesla also released a new video titled “Making Autonomy Accessible,” highlighting the company’s goal of designing Robotaxis to accommodate a variety of accessibility needs, such as space for service animals and storage for assistive equipment.
Getting started
While the purpose-built Cybercab represents Tesla’s long-term vision, the company is deploying Model Y vehicles as Robotaxis today. Autonomous Robotaxi rides are currently available in Austin. Prospective riders are directed to download the Robotaxi app or sign up for notifications to learn when service expands to their area.
Accessibility
A central emphasis of the revised site is inclusivity. Tesla says future vehicles will be engineered to support diverse accessibility requirements, including service animals and mobility devices. Elon Musk has indicated the Robovan will serve as the primary accessibility-focused Robotaxi, but the Austin fleet already accommodates some wheelchairs, assistive devices, and service animals.
Global rollout
Signaling broader ambitions for next year, the website notes the Robotaxi app is available in 29 languages, with additional languages planned to support future expansion.
